What are the waterproof levels of light strips?

According to the requirements of waterproof level, it is divided into: non-waterproof LED light strip (IP20), glue waterproof LED light strip (waterproof level IP55), half-tube waterproof LED light strip (waterproof level IP65), full casing or hollow casing extrusion Waterproof LED flexible light strips (waterproof grade IP67), full casing filled with glue or full casing solid extrusion waterproof LED flexible light strips (waterproof grade IP68).

Among them, the full casing is divided into a simple full casing inserted into the LED light bar for waterproofing, and a silicone-injected LED light bar for waterproofing. The waterproof effect of glue injection is obviously better than that of a simple full casing waterproof light bar. According to the glue material used for waterproofing, it is divided into epoxy resin glue and silicone glue.

In terms of appearance and luminous effect, the silicone-infused waterproof light strip emits greater light intensity, feels comfortable and takes into account the concept of environmental protection. However, its flexibility is poorer than that of a full casing. Most people choose glue. It has good flexibility and is relatively cheap, so it is widely used.

Note: The last two digits of IPXX are XX. The first digit X means dustproof, from 0 to 6, and the higher level is 6; the second digit (IP is the abbreviation of Ingress Protection). Therefore, IP68 is the first level of waterproof rating standard.
